We are excited to share something new with your family. SB ARTS is launching the Discovery Choir — a classical preparatory choir for children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, directed by Jeanette King — the beloved director of our Joyful Music and Teach Me Music programs.
What Your Child Will Experience
Healthy vocal technique — Breathing, posture, and tone development for young voices.
Music literacy — Beginning to read music in a fun, age-appropriate way.
Ensemble singing — The joy of making music together — listening, blending, harmonizing.
Classical repertoire — Beautiful, carefully selected music spanning classical, sacred, and seasonal styles.
Performance — 2 performances per year in a warm, celebratory setting.

Meet Our Discovery Choir Instructor
Jeanette King
Jeanette King has been singing and making music since her own kindergarten days. She holds a degree in Music Education and has taught preschool and grade school students for nearly 35 years. At SB ARTS, she has directed the early childhood music programs Joyful Music and Teach Me Music since their founding, and has created and directed numerous seasonal and non-seasonal musicals, programs, and shows that give students the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities.
