The Sharyn Byer Institute of Fine Arts is in an exciting stage of growth and is accepting applications for instrumental and voice music instruction with specialization in one or more of the following areas:
Oboe
Bassoon
French Horn
Tuba
Harp
Drums/ Percussion
Voice (SATB)
Organ
Ballet
SB ARTS welcomes resumes and letters of interest from qualified teachers seeking employment for teaching hours during afternoon, evening, and weekends, who are comfortable teaching beginner through advanced students, school-age through adults. SB ARTS employs fully credentialed and experienced teachers. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in applied music, pedagogy, or music education from an accredited institution with a major in the instrument they seek to teach. SB ARTS generally gives preference to candidates with advanced degrees and specific studio teaching experience. SB ARTS requires faculty and staff to obtain background checks and clearances.

SB ARTS is a ministry arm of the Columbia Baptist Church located at 103 W Columbia St, Falls Church, VA 22046. All of our lessons occur in-person within the church and instructors, therefore, are held to a standard of conduct that best represents the church.
