Scott Schwertfeger received his B.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies combining Music Performance and Music History from West Liberty State College, studying Classical Guitar technique with Dr. Nels Leonard, student and friend of Andres Segovia.

Slavica Ilic is a graduate of the Sarajevo Music Academy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she studied with David Kamhi. She was a member of the Sarajevo Opera, Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestra. Before moving to the USA, she also taught in Europe for a number of years. She has served on the faculty of SIFA since 1998.
