Elementary Level Dance Classes

Starting in September, we will be offering Elementary Level Dance Classes to students 5-12!

Wednesdays: 5:30–6:30 PM – Combo Ballet & Tap (ages 5–7) 6:45–7:45 PM – Ballet (ages 8–12)
Sundays: 2:00–3:00 PM – Lyrical (ages 8–12)

Combo Ballet and Tap ages 5-7: learn the basics of rhythm and movement within Ballet and Tap in a fun, creative, and supportive atmosphere! Students will begin to learn vocabulary, dance etiquette, and basic skills in ballet and tap.

Lyrical: This class introduces the basics of lyrical dance to students, emphasizing the importance of passion, imagination, emotion, and creativity in lyrical dance.

Ballet ages 8-12: Building off of the basic skills learned in combo classes, this class introduces a more formal structure to the students. This fun and creative class emphasizes ballet posture, technique, poise, and musicality.

Meet Our Dance Instructor

Lydia Driggers

Meet Lydia Driggers! Lydia has been dancing since the age of 3, after her first class she knew that dance was in her heart. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She studied Biology and Dance at the University of Virginia, where she was deeply involved in the dance program, serving as Concert Chair of the Virginia Dance Committee and as a student choreographer. Now, she is excited to teach dance to young students, spreading a love and passion for dance!
